Where to start? If you have wanted to begin a yoga practice but didn’t know where to start, or perhaps going to a yoga studio doesn’t feel quite right at the moment, then this course is just for you. Your body, your energy! Each week we will explore an essential element of practicing yoga in a way that suits your body and your energy, and you’ll be able to ask questions at every stage. Whatever suits you best … The advantage of an online course means you don’t have to rush to leave your house or fuss with getting changed. You could practice in your PJs and leave your camera off if that suits you best. If you miss a week, then simply catch-up in your own time as all sessions will be recorded. It is my aim to make yoga as accessible for you as possible. Week 1 - Breathe and move for life We will explore the importance of breathing well and our first key yoga poses. We will think about how yoga can fit into your lifestyle, both in and outside of classes. Week 2 - Sun Salutations The Sun Salutation is a simple yet powerful sequence of poses that only requires a short amount of time to keep your practice alive. It is designed to warm, strengthen, and align the entire body. The practice tones and gives more strength and flexibility. Week 3 - Finding flow We look at how poses can flow together in a Vinyasa Yoga sequence. We will modify for different energy levels and explore the benefits of each pose. Week 4 - Breathe, Flow, and Relax Our last week brings everything together from the last 3 weeks into a complete yoga session. We will breathe together and then flow through our yoga sequence. We finish in Savasana which will allow your nervous system to reset, and calm your busy mind. A complete starter kit … After our 4 weeks together you will have the confidence to practice yoga in the way that suits you best. This could be continuing at home, classes in a studio, or both!
